Joseph Friedman was previously a Senior Director of Sotheby’s, Curator of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor’s Collection in Paris, and an art adviser to the Foreign Office, the National Trust, and the J. Rothschild Group of Companies. A partner in Historic Buildings Consultants, he has lectured and published widely on the fine and decorative arts, and was recently appointed an Honorary Visiting Fellow of the Department of History of Art at the University of York and a Senior Research Fellow in the History of Architecture and Art at the Humanities Research Institute at the University of Buckingham.
